Maruti Suzuki’s production model of the Future-S concept, the S-Presso, is set to launch in India by September this year.
Expected to slot between the Alto K10 and the WagonR in Maruti's lineup, the S-Presso could be priced just under the Rs 4 lakh mark for the entry-level variant. The S-Presso is likely to be powered by the Alto K10’s 1.0-litre engine, which is already BS6-compliant. It’s expected to be offered with the choice of a 5-speed manual as well as an AMT. When launched, it will rival the likes of the Renault Kwid and the Datsun redi-GO.
